The art of cutlery making in Udyagiri, Nellore dist. Andhra Pradesh dates back to the time of Nawabs when it was popularized under the reign of Golconda chieftains and the Arcot Nawabs in the 19th Century. Locally produced wood is used for making the cutlery products and the product got its Geographical Indication tag in 2017.
